DESCRIPTION:Powerboat P1 returns for the third time to Sheboygan\, WI\, on August 8th 2025\, for the Sheboygan MidWest Challenge. \nSheboygan is on the western shore of Lake Michigan\, about 50 miles north of Milwaukee\, with a population of around 50\,000. \nThe Sheboygan MidWest Challenge\, a festival and celebration of powerboat racing\, will feature the top categories of U.S. powerboat racing. The UIM Class 1 World Championship returns with boats capable of 160 mph. For the first time\, Sheboygan is also a host city to the American Powerboat Racing Association’s (APBA) National Championship\, with 14 classes of fast boats in action. More than 60 race teams are expected to participate with competitors from around the world\, including Australia\, Italy\, Sweden\, Canada\, the United Kingdom\, Puerto Rico\, and the Bahamas.

DESCRIPTION:This family-friendly FREE show will once again highlight the latest technology\, style\, design\, and construction features available from various manufacturers of distinctive styles of power and sail yachts in the Great Lakes market. Representatives from the participating dealers and manufacturers will be present to answer questions and discuss the features of the vessels that are open for touring during all event hours. In addition\, indoor exhibitors in the Monroe Station Main Dining Room will display new boating technology\, electronics and accessories. \nAll members of the Chicago Yacht Club\, power\, sail\, cruise or racer\, are invited and encouraged to attend this exciting event. The Club also invites all boat owners with a slip or on a buoy in the Chicago harbors along with individuals interested in learning about membership at CYC. The dealers cull their databases of boat owners and prospects and interested parties to attend. Each year this event has resulted in many new members joining the Club. \n2023’s event drew almost 800 invitees who enjoyed touring more than 30 yachts from 13 participating dealers\, free drinks and appetizers\, live music\, and indoor exhibits as well as a hands-on safe boating demonstration for the whole family. It was a perfect day with bright skies and warm weather. \nLive music will be part of the event both days! CYC’s Chef Larry and the Club staff will serve complimentary hors d‘oeuvres and drinks to all attendees. We hope you enjoy this exciting event and your visit to the Club! \nMark your calendars today!
