Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with all aspects of sales and customer service
  • Assist customers and demonstrate product features and benefits
  • Answer phones, address caller’s questions, and transfer calls as necessary
  • Process boat slip reservation and registration requests. Process POS register transactions
  • Educate customers on marina products and services. Promote and encourage sales
  • Check delivered items against packing slip, ensure accuracy, assist with store inventory and receiving
  • Restock items and pulls expired or out of date items from the shelves
  • Assist with merchandising and maintain a neat and organized store
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Represent the marina in a professional and courteous manner, serving as the face of the marina to many customers. Provide a high level of customer service at all times while taking pride in presenting a clean and welcoming marina.

Daily Tip Potential!!

  • Assist slip customers with arrival and departure, line handling and related yachting activities
  • Prepare rental kayaks for customer use, conduct customer orientation on kayak operation, assist boating customers with arrivals, departures and line handling
  • Oversee fuel dock operations. Fuel and pump out boats, process sales transactions

This multi-faceted position brings many exciting opportunities in the world of adventure boating!  As a member of our service team, you will assist with PDI and delivery of new boats to customers.  You will also perform maintenance requests both at the marina as well as off-site locations.  Transporting boats to customers, sales offices, boat shows, and for storage, is key to this role.  This is a customer facing service role that requires highly professional communication with our customers, as oftentimes the transporter is the first person to interact with the customer upon a delivery of their new boat.   This position is integral to the heart of the business and the success of the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport boats to and from various locations
  • Coordinate with Service Manager and After Sales Manager to determine service and transportation schedule
  • Maintain CDL licensure requirements
  • Perform mechanical repairs on boats
  • Clean and set up boats after transport, including electronics towers and upholstery
  • Obtain Mercury and ABYC certifications
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vessel users
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. annual haul out and launch operations, dock operations, maintenance of yard machinery, assist throughout properties)
  • Keep thorough records of work performed and report on any issues
  • Operate Travelift and hydraulic trailer
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Experience/Skills

  • Must have Class A Interstate CDL 
  • Must be comfortable transporting oversized loads

  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
  • Applicants with certifications from boat manufacturers and sanctioning bodies (Mercury, Volvo, ABYC) will enter at a higher starting wage and receive priority in hiring

Due to significant growth in boat sales Manitowoc Marina seeking a Yacht broker to join our team in either Manitowoc, Marinette (WI), Sandusky (OH), or Chicago (IL). Lines represented include Axopar, X-Yachts, Brabus Marine, Cutwater, Rossiter and Starcraft. Manitowoc Marina also brokers used boats. This is a full-time yacht broker that will be responsible for generating new leads, identifying business opportunities, and maintaining positive customer relationships.

How you’ll lead:

  • Utilize Manitowoc Marina sales tools, including CRM, for daily follow up and prospecting for new customers, as well as communication on a regular basis with existing clients
  • Maintain precise client records, diligently inputting and maintaining an accurate and comprehensive database
  • Acquire full knowledge of product lines, including all standard features, accessories, and options
  • Secure quality listings with quality photos for input in Yacht World and BoatWizard
  • Successfully achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Secure quality brokerage listings
  • Familiarize yourself on a daily basis for what boats are currently available and their selling price
  • Actively support and participate in boat shows, on-site and off-site special events, and displays
  • Precisely quote pricing to clients, including taxes, freight, trade-in allowance, fees, and requirements for financing
  • Understanding of all yacht sales transaction regulations and contracts
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Knowledge of yachts and experience in the marine industry preferred

Manitowoc Marina is looking for Paint and Fiberglass technicians to become members of its growing service department. We are looking for individuals with a great attitude, enthusiasm for their profession, and focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in coatings; including paint and varnish application

Work with Service Manager to oversee customer satisfaction, shop productivity, safety, organization and cleanliness as it relates to electronic repairs.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install electrical components, equipment, or systems
  • Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual inspections, testing devices, and software.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts, wiring and relays in ignition, navigation, lighting, hvac, power generation and safety control systems.
  • Adjust electronic equipment (including software updates) to ensure optimal performance
  • Confer with customers to determine the nature of malfunctions.
  • Estimate costs of repairs based on parts and labor requirements.
  • Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures, outlet boxes, and fuse holders, using electric drills and routers.
  • Follows all safety precautions and procedures at times.
  • Monitors shop supply inventory and orders as needed
  • Ensures that tools are organized, accounted for and maintained. Responsible for maintaining company equipment
  • Meets with service manager daily to review workflow
  • Informs service manager of issues pertaining to deviations from standard on repair cost, quality or timeliness
  • Treat all employees and customers with the courtesy and respect they deserve
  • Communicates with customers on technical issues as needed
  • Helps test customer boats to ensure repairs were performed correctly
  • Follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures
  • Review all recalls, service bulletins and product updates
  • Attends training seminars as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience in the marine industry specific to area of electronics
  • Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
  • Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven with excellent leadership skills
  • Have a valid state driver’s license
