On September 5, 1962 a 20 lbs. piece of Russian Sputnik IV landed in the middle of the street on the corner of N. 8th and Park. Sputnikfest is a way to celebrate all things sci-fi and space with live music, food, a 5k run/walk, and elaborate alien-themed costumes.

This event is one of Manitowoc’s most iconic events, drawing in people from all over the country. All are welcome to come and get wacky!
